Fedcap: Breaking the Cycle
Fedcap’s Breaking the Cycle program was officially launched in the State of Maine on January 30th, 2017. The Breaking the Cycle program was established by Fedcap after we were selected by Maine officials to provide statewide services under their Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, called ASPIRE. There are approximately 3200 TANF cases throughout Maine, and the state is committed to working with Fedcap to end poverty for these individuals, families and children. Under our contract with the state, Fedcap will provide education and training that leads to sustainable employment, as well as connections to services for those with barriers to work. The model is the same as that of our highly successful WeCARE program in NYC, which pioneered cutting edge vocational and independent medical assessments to determine functional capacity for employment. The Breaking the Cycle program will operate out of 16 Opportunity Centers. TANF families will be served by a team of 145 employees. Fedcap is always looking to hire qualified and motivated people to be a part of their growing team.
